    Drummondville Map
    I was not
especially happy when Drummondville became a Census Metropolitan Area in the
2021 census. I have had a commitment to exploring and photographing all CMAs
for a while, and in the 2021 census quite a few new ones were added. I was
expecting most of the others, but Drummondville caught me by surprise,
coming in with a metropolitan area population of just over 100,000. And so
off to the city I went. I had a very nice visit in mostly sunny fall
weather, spending time exploring the city in the afternoon one day, and the
morning the next. I had a lovely meal at La Muse, which seemed very popular,
and good walks alongside the river, which is quite beautiful. It felt a day
	well-spent.

		Downtown Drummondville (73 photos)
      - This gallery focuses on Rue Hériot, which is the main
street of the city, and it starts at the North-West end of the street,
moving along to the South-East. After that there are photos of other
areas downtown, including a lovely modern library. These photos are
storefronts, some of the main buildings of the city, like the basilica
and city hall, and some of the public art that is so much a part of this
city. The gallery ends with a diversion towards the train station, the
lovely modern library, and ends with the City Hall.

Parc Woodyatt and the Rivière Saint-François (29 photos)
      - Drummondville is graced with a sprawling park
bordering downtown on the one side, and the lovely Rivière
Saint-François on the other. There are many exposed
rocks in the shallow river, and small islands that invite exploration,
as well as a power plant and old bridges.
