    Niagara Peninsula Map

I have visited Niagara Falls a number of times. While the majority of these
photos are from a visit to Niagara Falls with Andrew in 2010, in which we
visited my friend Clint, there are several other visits as well. These
include visits with Yvon and I in 2003, when we were driving around Ontario and visited for a
day, and two visits in 2018. Also a few from when I went to Clint's garden party in 2006,
and from a drive to Niagara Falls with Gregg in 1990 (which I suppose is
probably my first visit to the falls).

The falls and the river (30 photos)
      - The area around the Niagara falls and river is, of course, the main
attraction in Niagara Falls, and has been lovingly preserved by Parks
Canada. This series starts with a few photos from a trip Gregg and I made
to the falls in 1990 (I remember telling someone who took our photo that
we were from Calgary for some reason), continues with some photos of Yvon
and I near the river, and finally, with Andrew in 2010.

      Central Niagara Falls (25 photos)
      - Around the falls, a bevy of attractions, casinos, hotels and shopping
have sprung up, mostly in poor taste. These photos show the various
buildings, good and bad, that surround the main attraction. All from 2010.

Clint's Place and downtown Niagara Falls (47 photos)
      - This group of photos mostly includes visits to Clint's lovely house,
including a visit with Yvon in 2003, when I went to a party there in 2006, a visit with Andrew in 2010,
and a few shots from Robb's 50th birthday party in 2015. The series also includes images
of "downtown" Niagara Falls, centred on Queen Street, is where the locals
hang. It's a typical small-town Ontario kind of landscape, thriving
somewhat more these days than in the past few years, and populated mostly
      by locals.

Niagara Glen Nature Reserve (29 photos)
      - North of the whirlpool on the Niagara River, there is a metal staircase
that descends to the Niagara River, moving down amongst great boulders
that little the landscape. Clint took Andrew and I down there for a walk
      in 2010.

Niagara Falls in Winter 2018 with Yvon (87 photos)
      - Yvon and I drove to the fall on a brilliantly sunny Friday in January.
We visited Queenston Park, various lookouts along the river, and the
fall and the icy trees around them. We went up the Skylon Tower, before
having a lovely and relaxed dinner with Clint. The three of us did a
brief tour of the Winter Festival of Lights.

Niagara Falls in Spring 2018 with Quin, Elmina and David (47 photos)
      - These photos are from a visit at Easter to the falls, and include the
falls themselves, the "Journey Behind the Falls", a visit to the
Butterfly Conservatory, and a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

      Niagara area (25 photos)
      - These photos are of the areas around Niagara Falls, including wineries,
a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake, and other various and sundry from several
      trips.

		St. Catharines (88 photos)
      - These photos were taken in 2015. Statistics Canada considers Niagara
Falls and St. Catharines as a single metropolitan area, and I had never
really visited the core of St. Catharines, and I thought that this
gallery would be more complete if St. Catharines was represented. These
photos are mostly downtown St. Catharines, but also have a few shots of
a cemetery on the east edge of town, and of the Welland Canal.
