Ottawa Map

Ottawa is my hometown, and I remain fond of the city. I have always enjoyed the bike paths along the river and the canals, Gatineau Park, the Experimental Farm, the museums. I remember how well I felt supported by a caring community in my coming out years. I was loved well in Ottawa.

This page links to a single gallery from when I still lived in the city in the 1980's, and all other galleries contain a mix of photos from visits back to the city from 1990 to 2017.

  • Living in Ottawa in the 1980's (41 photos) - Here is an assortment of shots from the 1980's, showing not that much about the city, mostly friends and social events. They are arranged mostly chronologically, and the year of the photo is implied in the file name.

  • Parliament (53 photos) - How many photos can you take of a single collection of buildings? Quite a few it turns out.

  • Museums (161 photos) - This gallery documents multiple visits to the National Gallery, the Canada Aviation Museum, the Museum of Civilization, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the Canadian War Museum, and also the Experimental Farm and Dow's Lake Area, where the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum is located.
