Prague formed part of our "MiddelEuropa" tour in 2002. We arrived here a few months after they had suffered devastating floods. I frankly thought they would have everything cleaned up by the time we arrived, but this was not the case, so some things (including parts of the subway) were closed. So clueless did I remain about the extent of the flooding that I dragged Yvon all the way across town to go to a nightclub quite close to the river called "Tunel". Needless to say, Tunel existed no more, having been located in an actual tunnel, and we had to go somewhere else.
Nonetheless, we both enjoyed Prague's frantically decorated charms a great deal - it was the city that overwhelmed Yvon with ornate churches. Years late, he still talks about it.
