    Regina Map
    I have been to Regina
four times. In 1999 I gave a workshop on archival arrangement and
description there, and Yvon flew out to join me. In 2002 I visited twice as
I was doing consulting work for the Saskatchewan Archives Board. And in
early 2018 I visited briefly to take advantage of a sunny winter day. My
memories of the city from previous visits were surprisingly accurate in
terms of the look and feel of the city, and I quite
enjoy the sixties exuberance of central Regina.

	Regina in 2018

      Central
		Regina (95 photos)
      - One of the oddities, I think, about Regina is that the commercial core
centred on Victoria Park is really only a commercial core. The large
cultural and government buildings are elsewhere: the Legislature, the
galleries and museums, the University, are all clustered around Wascana
Lake to the south. This gallery starts at Victoria Park and circles
outward from there, and includes office buildings, some historic
buildings, City Hall, a trip to a restaurant east of downtown, and a
		stroll in Cathedral Village.

      Outer
		Regina (76 photos)
      - This gallery is most of the city that is not in the downtown core. It
starts with the Legislative Building, and includes exterior shots of the
arts centre and the science centre, and visits to the Royal Saskatchewan
Museum, the MacKenzie Art Gallery, the RCMP Heritage Centre, and ends
with a cemetery and and the Floral Conservatory.

      - Photos of the University of Regina, including the First Nations
		University of Canada.

      Moose
Jaw and a Prairie Drive (43 photos)
      - I found myself with a bit of time on my second day in Regina, and I
drove out of the city aimlessly, enjoying the broad vistas (though the
wind was wild when I stepped out of the car to take photos!). I ended up
in Moose Jaw, just a bit west of Regina, and strolled around a bit
there, had a hot chocolate, then came back to town.

      Flight
		(17 photos)
      - The flight to Regina took me over a cold but sunny landscape, and we
flew thrillingly close to Thunder Bay and Winnipeg, as well as over the
lakes and prairies. These were mostly taken from the window of the
plane, but there are a few airport shots as well.
