	San Francisco Map

I have been to San Francisco only
twice, and I didn't find the city as entrancing as most
seem to. Perhaps I expected too much. As a gay destination, I found it unremarkable
and unexciting. As a city in a
beautiful setting, I found it lovely but comparable with many other cities.
Somehow, I just failed to find the city as interesting as I had imagined I
would, both on my disastrous 1992 visit, and again with Yvon on a much
calmer, indeed slightly dull, 2004 visit. I should really go back and maybe
I would fall in love, but it strikes me as a city whose reputation exceeds
itself. Here are some fairly unremarkable photos from the two visits.

San Francisco with Yvon in 2004 (69 photos)
		- Various views of the city with Yvon and I. These also seem kind of
random to me, though they end with us going to Dolores Park to see a
celebration of the anniversary of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

San Francisco with Gregg in 1992 (12 photos) -
In 1992, in the middle of a protracted breakup with my partner Gregg, I
flew to San Francisco to spend some time with a fellow I had met in
Provincetown earlier that year. It was an interesting visit. Gregg sort
of followed me and walked around the streets until he found me, and fun
ensued. I am sort of amazed that any photos at all of this trip were
taken, but here are a few, what seem to be mostly random street scenes
with either Gregg or I in them.
