Once I had gone to Fargo in the fall of 2024, it only made sense to continue on down to Sioux Falls, because then I would have visited the largest city in each of the Dakotas. Or maybe that actually doesn't make sense, but it's what happened. I was not long in Sioux Falls, but enough for a pleasant meal when I arrived, and a good walkaround in bright sunshine the day after. I somehow had imagined Sioux Falls to be smaller than Fargo, but it was larger and felt a bit more prosperous. Certainly, it had a prettier setting, Falls Park is really quite beautiful.

All of Sioux Falls (97 photos) - This gallery starts at the beautiful Falls Park, which highlights the waterfalls that give the city its name, and also has industrial ruins and a lookout tower. From there the gallery follows walkways along the Big Sioux River southward as far down as Fawick Park. The gallery then doubles around, pauses at the Visual Arts Center of the Washington Pavilion, and then comes back north through the commercial core of the city. It shows parks, buildings, City Hall, churches and other stuff. At the end, there are a few photos of the Cathedral Historic District and then of the nearby Terrace Park.

Toronto (9 photos) - I saw a sign for "Toronto" just off the highway and felt I had to check it out. Sadly, did not have time for a drink at the local cafe as I had booked myself into one of Sioux Fall's better restaurants and was making tracks.
